Founder and CEO of Lunar Outpost Inc, Mr. Cyrus has led his company to historic accomplishments in the field of space resources, advanced spacecraft, and robotics, including the first ever sale of lunar resources to NASA and assisting with the production of oxygen on Mars. As a technical leader, he led development of the industry-leading MAPP rover, a Mobile Autonomous Prospecting Platform that became the first American robotic rover on the Moon in March 2025 and will be utilized on numerous upcoming lunar surface mobility missions. Currently, Mr. Cyrus is leading his company and a world-class team including General Motors, Leidos, MDA Space, and Goodyear to develop a human-rated rover for NASA’s Artemis campaign. Mr. Cyrus holds M.S. Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Space Resources from Colorado School of Mines, and a B.S. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
