Dr. Matthew E. Zuber is a program manager at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. He currently works in the National Security Space Mission Area managing several space programs to include Space Development Agency’s Tranche 1 mission engineering portfolio. Recently he also has conducted several internal and external studies associated with the science and technology development to operationalize very Low Earth Orbits. Dr. Zuber achieved two bachelors of science degrees at Arizona State University in Aerospace Engineering and Aeronautical Technology. He was commission as an Air Force officer through ROTC program. His Masters of Engineer is from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in Space Operations. His Doctorate of Applied Physics is from the University of Brussels, Belgium, while he was on assignment at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. Prior to APL, Dr. Zuber was an acquisition officer for the United States Air Force for 25 years, with varying assignments such as flight test of A-10 and the Airborne Laser, instructor at the United States Air Force Academy, Foreign Military Sales director in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, executive director of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board and various staff positions at the Pentagon.
