Lieutenant Colonel Greg Allen is the Commander of the 1st Range Operations Squadron (1 ROPS/CC) at Space Launch Delta 45, United States Space Force. He leads operations that ensure safe, efficient space launch activities while driving innovation to modernize Eastern Range Spaceport processes.
Lt Col Allen focuses on integrating advanced technologies into operational workflows, including generative AI applications to support Day of Launch (DoL) activities such as scheduling, risk management, and decision support tools. His efforts are central to improving mission effectiveness and reducing manual workload for both military and civilian personnel.
Previously, Lt Col Allen served as Branch Chief for Operations Integration at Headquarters United States Space Force, where he coordinated operational priorities and budget integration for the Chief of Space Operations (CSO). A prior enlisted member, he began his Air Force career in 1998 and was commissioned in 2008, bringing two decades of experience in launch operations, program management, and space mission support.
