Capt. Jacob (Jake) Schneider

Capt. Jacob (Jake) Schneider is the Platform Operations Lead for the new activated 2nd Sustainment Squadron at Mission Delta 2, Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA. He oversees the design, implementation, and management of the Command and Control platform supporting over 20 Space Domain Awareness mission applications, notably to include the new Advanced tracking and Launch Analysis System (ATLAS), ensuring reliability, security, and performance for 10 mission partners across the Space Force.

Capt. Schneider entered the Air Force in May 2019 through ROTC from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus. He served as a structural engineer on the A-10 and as an air battle damage repair engineer, deploying to the CENTCOM AOR in support of Operations ALLIES REFUGEE and INHERENT RESOLVE from April 2021 to April 2022. In February 2021, he transferred from the Air Force to the Space Force. He was the Ground Segment IPT lead for the Space Safari program office and chief engineer for a Space Domain Awareness optical sensor hosted payload program. His vast experience includes aircraft structural integrity, air battle damage assessment and repair, space domain awareness, and software development.

Capt. Schneider is also a Supra Coder and the Officer Representative for the group. He was instrumental in establishing the Supra Coder Council, which includes over 250+ Supra Coders and supporters across the Space Force, Space Command, and the NRO.
