When large amounts of data are sent/received over the existing legacy network infrastructure, due to huge software over head of TCP & UDP protocol with limited processing power of local CPU, Network throughput is very limited causing bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities get worst. Offloading the TCP & UDP protocol processing in FPGA hardware relieves this problem. it saves 90% of power/heat consumed by CPUs.
