Need Additional Justification to Attend POST?

Consider training funds and continuous learning points. Most organizations have separate funds for training and general travel and have had an easier time getting approval to attend technical conferences under training funds. Does your organization require you to meet continuing education or learning goals each year? Participation in the conference counts as a "Professional Activity" and they are able to collect points (also known as CLs or CLPs) for attending and or presenting at the conference.

    • Professional Exam/License/Certificate
    • 10-30 points
  • Teaching/Lecturing
    • 2 points per hour; maximum of 20 points per year
  • Symposia/Conference Presentations
    • 2 points per hour; maximum of 20 points per year
  • Workshop Participation
    • 1 point per hour; maximum of 8 points per day and 20 points per year
  • Symposia/Conference Attendance
    • .5 point per hour; maximum of 4 points per day and 20 points per year
