Silylated Cellulose Interfacial Protective Layer on a Lithium Metal Surface
A protective layer for the lithium metal anode, part of the Li-ion batteries, formed from silylated cellulose, prevents the formation of non-homogenous deposition of lithium during charge, improves lithium interface stability in liquid and solid-state electrolytes, and mitigates large volume expansion of lithium anode during operation, hence, preserving battery efficiency
